An Argent is a being conceived of pure good within the womb of a mortal woman. Solarion sometimes bestows a boon upon barren women with benevolent hearts, infusing them with pure generative energy, resulting in the immaculate conception of an Argent child. Argents eat, sleep, breathe, and can reproduce. Children fathered or birthed by an Argent always have the race of the non-Argent parent.

Alignment: Always Good. Being composed of pure good, an Argent is incapable of violating its code of morality. They are motivated entirely by the desire to aid and protect others. They always seek to minimize harmful side-effects. Though they are tolerant of others, they are not hesitant to admonish their neighbors for unacceptable behavior.

Benevolence

An Argent gains a +4 racial bonus to Diplomacy checks.

Seeker of Truth

An Argent gains a +2 racial bonus to Sense Motive checks and can use True Seeing for 1 minute/day per HD. Additionally, an Argent can detect secret doors as an elf does.

Lay on Hands

As the paladin class feature, except that each day, an Argent can heal an amount of damage equal to half its full normal hit points. Using lay on hands is a standard action. If the Argent also has paladin levels, the points of healing usable stack.

Celestial Companion

Upon attaining 10 HD, an Argent gains the ability to manifest a Stellar celestial (3 HD) as an extention of themself. The Argent cares for it as one does a limb... but the selfless Argent is willing to sacrifice it if neccisary. Should the Stellar "die", the Argent may not summon another for thirty days. During this thirty-day period, the Argent takes a -1 penalty on attack and weapon damage rolls.

Level Adjustment: +2
