AshenaxeRank: Intermediate Home Plane: Plane of Fire Alignment: True Neutral Domains: Fire, Magic, Knowledge, Protection Portfolio: Might for Right, Magical Research, Volcanic Activity, Fire Magic, Peace Through Power. Blood-Brotherhood. Magical Craftsmanship Favored Weapon: Two-Bladed Dwarven Waraxe (or any two-bladed (not double) axe, for non-dwarf followers) Symbol: A flaming axe Colors: Red, Orange, and Yellow Relics: The Ashen Axe
Ashenaxe appears most commonly as a bald, tattooed, red-bearded Dwarf wearing stylized magus robes. In one hand he carries a scorched gray Dwarven Waraxe wreathed in fire (often a red Continual Flame is cast upon his idols, although more powerful spells are sometimes added with Permenancy). His other hand is usually pointing or performing some somatic gesture (Spellcraft DC 20 plus Spell Level to determine what spell he is depicted as casting). A large, iron-bound spellbook hangs from a chain over his shoulder. In shrines dedicated to his craftsmanship, he is often shown with a large smith's hammer and anvil, with the spellbook open on the anvil.
Ashenaxe, formerly Burne Ashenaxe, was a compatriot and sworn brother of Grok-Nall and Shadowsnipe in their mortal forms. His frustration with Dwarven Conservativism shows through his entire mortal life.
Ashenaxe worship has become more common in the dwarven lands of Muirstone and Oinshire, as well as across the Freedales. |

The Alignment thing... Burne was always a solid NG, but if you need Ashenaxe to be TN for fire-god duty, then let me know.
PD: how about Burnes Tower of Flaming Deathtraps is now the High Temple of Ashenaxe. Lemme know if it's still around or anything and I'll finish the writeup...

"...if you need Ashenaxe to be TN for fire-god duty..."
No need. Write him up however is accurate/to your taste.
"...Burnes Tower of Flaming Deathtraps is now the High Temple of Ashenaxe..."
That's viable. It's in the lands occupied by Grok's people now though. They leave it unmolested, though it may prove more harrowing for others to get to.

That will mean it's a test of mettle simply to get there. I imagine that the priesthood has a much higher percentage of mystic theurges than is common. Plus that goes great with his "brotherhood" portfolio. recruiting orcs etc... to the way of the ashen axe sounds like Awesome City.

Ehh. If Grok finds out that his people are bullying and challenging people trying to get to the temple, he might chuckle, but if he finds that people are actively trying to stop them, he'll smite super-fast: "Your phylactery of faithfulness grows really hot. And starts pulsing. And burning you. You'd better stop riiiight now." If the attack continues, it's Kolyarut time.
