Count Ebonthorn was an incompassionate tyrant who taxed the heart and soul out of his region of Neyrdor. He used diplomacy in to manipulate the people, reaming them through taxes, contracts of service, and property. He fostered a huge disparity between commoners and the noble caste, allowing nobles to get away with nearly anything and punishing commoners severely for even minor infractions. He was prone to setting people up and making examples of them.
