The force of destruction is the antithesis of existence created when Gohdas, Feal, Vilhan, and Aleria brought Heroshi into being. They were aware of its existence, but still considered it worth doing. The force is seperated from Heroshi by the void of space by many eons of distance, but it draws steadily closer to fulfill its inevitable mission of destruction. When it reaches Heroshi, it will subsume the planet across all the planes, leaving only void once again. Its continual effect is that it causes life to decay. It is responsible for aging and natural death. Some beings are more resistant to the decay than others, but only the gods are unaffected.

Though it is an indifferent force, it is responsible for the evil in Heroshi. The death it causes creates fear, dispair, and hatred in living beings. While most people are unaware of the force of destruction but for an ache in their hearts, some worship it as a god, praying for its arrival and the destruction it brings. These mystery cults often take vows of silence, dwell in darkness, and live only to cause destruction. The symbol used by these worshippers is a violet circle drawn with a glowing, phosphorescent pigment.

The name of the force of destruction is Edenova. When mortals hear its name, it sounds like a hollow reverb of E-DEN-OVA accompanied by a pounding sensation behind ones eardrums. Hearing it repeatedly can cause bleeding from ones facial orifices. Speaking the name of Edenova causes one to become hoarse. Speaking it thrice makes one unable to speak for an hour. It is possible to chant the name of the force repeatedly, but when one stops they are unable to speak for one day per time they uttered it.
