Adellefried - Gnomish goddess of peacemaking.

Agaul Moai - The Anheroshi name for the silver ape spirit.

Ahriman - A desert nation in Anherosh, home of the Viper Clan.

'Ald Fel - An ancient dwarven ruin also known as Vilhan's Folly. Located in the Serpent's Maw.

Aleria - Elven goddess of the wind and sea.

Amarok - The Helothian name for the gray wolf spirit.

Ameadaeus -The ruby-eyed dragon god responsible for monsters (daema).

Anherosh - The eastern hemisphere of Heroshi.

Anura - Amphibious, tree-climbing humanoids that inhabit marshes.

Argent - Humans born through immaculate conception, infused with the essence of pure good.

Ars Tesla - A city in Axura.

Ars Vepar - The Anheroshi name for the aquamarine dolphin spirit.

Ashenaxe - Dwarven fire wizard ascended to godhood. One of the Saviors of Heroshi.

Atrophus - A god who serves as the judge of the dead.

Axura - One of three nations that arose shortly after the rise of the daema. Was the neutral party in the war at the time.

Bitemeaten - God of annoyance and embarrasing rashes.

Borras - A titan who competed with Ameadaeus for godhood. Lost.

Bjarn - The Helothian name for the brown bear spirit.

Brog - The proper name for goblinoids.

Byakko - The Helothian name for the white tiger spirit.

 

C

Chabaku - A province of Anherosh controlled by the Wolf Clan.

Chaos Gate - An artifact created by the Derro in an attempt to bring forth Edenova. Used in other attempts involving interdimensional travel.

Chau-Dai - Also known as Chao-dai/Chow-die/that guy. Ascended to godhood, only to be imprisoned in a soul gem and cast into the Serpent's Maw shortly therafter. Made the mistake of being more annoying than Bitemeaten.

Corrida - A nation in Anherosh ruled by the Phoenix Clan. Helothians who, in the past, blended with the native Uztec culture.

Cura - Goddess of healing.

Cylphied - Diamond scaled dragon goddess of oaths.

 

D

Daema - The so called "monster race", corrupted from the races of mankind by Ameadaeus.

Derro - Dwarves corrupted and driven mad by the demons released in 'Ald Fel.

Dragmar - God of murder.

Drake Highlands - An area of central Heloth known as a borderlands in which many dragons lair.

Drand - God of tyrrany and lightning. Espouses human supremacy over all of mankind and all other creatures.

Duergar - Dispassionate dwarves that dwell deep in the underworld. (ooh, tongue twister!)

Dweomer - An animated spell spirit.

 

E

Ebonthorn - God of Greed. Represents power through positioning of people for self-advancement.

Edenova - The force of destruction which causes decay upon Heroshi. Though seperated by a distance that will take eons to cross, when Edenova meets Heroshi, both will be wiped from existence.

Erhad - The heavenly plane in which celestials, many good aligned deities, and the souls of the virtuous departed reside.

Feal - Goddess of nature, natural beauty, and fertility.

Fel'Thas - The unholy spawn of a human imbued with evil.

Freedales - A confederation of mostly halfling settlements in Heloth.

 

G

Galen - God of brotherhood and creature equality.

Geist - A spirit that inhabits objects of certain types (sword spirit = schwertgeist, tome spirit = wortgeist, etc.)

Genbu - The Helothian name for the black tortoise spirit.

Gohdas - God of mankind. Sometimes appears as a child or elderly person, or an adult of indeterminate gender.

Gram Sithr - The Anheroshi name for the gray wolf spirit.

Gree - A town on the border of Miradell with a large population of half-elves.

Grok-Nall - God of strength. Grok-Nall ascended to godhood along with Ashenaxe and Shadowsnipe.

Gurthang - The capital of Kahl Tarog, the daemic nation.

Hackport - Known as the acclaimed city of adventurers. Haunted at night by creatures of the underworld.

Hemopha - Goddess of undead and slaughter.

Heloth - The western hemisphere of Heroshi.

Hellscapes - Demi-planes within Nuegalon dedicated to various kinds of torment.

Heroshi - The name of the world (prime material plane).

Heroshim - The original race created by Gohdas from which the other varieties of mankind arose.

Hoarspine - A chain of mountains in southern Heloth formerly inhabited by gnomes.

Ix Auduer - The Anheroshi name for the golden owl spirit.

Jian Bing - The Anheroshi name for the white tiger spirit.

 

K

Kahl-Tarog - A nation in northern Heloth ruled by tribes of daema, foremost orcs, goblins, and kobolds.

Kal'Nuega - The sphere of darkness at the center of Nuegalon which is composed of the souls of the evil dead.

Kaimaloreum - An institution for learning and the keeping of knowledge.

Kaima - Goddess of magic, secrecy, and transitions (such as dawn and twilight).

Kaneq - Goddess of cold and ice. Worshiped by frost giants.

Karna - A province of Anherosh ruled by the Owl clan.

Khrimhiem - The frost giant citadel built into the Wall of Ice.

Kith - The native race of the ethereal plane. Kith possess ghostly powers.

Korala-Hai - Half-orc/half wild elf. Possess both strength and grace, but intellectually lacking.

Kozakura - A province of Anherosh.

Ling Guang - The Anheroshi name for the vermilion bird (phoenix) spirit.

Lor - God of justice and truth. His high fane is in the city of Tespus.

Losbeth - A city in the northwestern desert of Heloth. Home of the high fane of Cura.

 

M

Maag - The Helothian name for the silver ape spirit.

Mankind - The races descended from the Heroshim, which includes humans, elves, dwarves, gnomes, giants, and halflings.

Malhavoc - God of spiders, lies, and dischord. Brother of Sorric.

Meng Zhang - The Anheroshi name for the azure dragon spirit, AKA Cylphied.

Miradell - An elven nation in Heloth and also the name of the capitol thereof.

Morbidia - A nation in central Heloth which is a theocracy centered around the worship of Atrophus. Its lands cover the fallen nation Veralyde.

Muirstone - A dwarven nation in central Heloth.

Myrdunhiem - The once great city of the giants which became unsustainable due to the rapid depletion of their natural resources.

Myrsfell - The fire-giant city at the north pole.

 

N

Najket - Serpent folk that reside mainly in the warm regions of Anherosh.

Nerydor - A fallen Helothian nation that made war on Veralyde and ultimately fell to the legions of daema from the north.

Nethergrove - An forest that makes up a sizable portion of the underworld.

Neyrleth - A city state that was actually a foothold of the Solanthian empire and later became the capitol of Talonia.

Nimis - God of rats, gluttony, and hoarding.

Njordfeld - Tundra region on the Heloth side of the Wall of Ice.

Node - Three artifacts of dwarven construction that have many times affected history.

Node Crisis - The event that culminated in a world-spanning disjunction of magic.

Nor Gandr - The Anheroshi name for the yellow serpent spirit.

Northwest Adventurers Guild - An organization that regulates adventuring activities established in Hackport and other sizable cities.

Nuegalon - The fiendish plane inhabited by devils, demons, powerful daema lords, and the souls of the wicked departed.

Occulus - A giant, floating eyeball daema.

Oerboea - The Helothian name for the yellow serpent spirit.

Oinshelm - The capital of Oinshire.

Oinshire - A dwarven nation in north-central Heloth established by escaped slaves from Solanthus.

 

P

Palaeon - the Helothian name for the aquamarine dolphin spirit.

Philia - Goddess of love.

Planets - Spheroid entrances to demi-planes within Erhad.

Priory of the Triad - A church dedicated to the three tyrannical gods, Drand, Ebonthorn, and Sorric.

 

Q

Quintessia - The name of the ethereal plane.

 

R

Ra-Khati - A province of Anherosh ruled by the Dolphin Clan.

Rimefell - A chasm largely in southern Heloth that extends under the Wall of Ice and into southern Anherosh.

Rimeflow - The churning river of ice which seperates southern Heloth from the rest of the continent.

Ruhn Muir - Dwarven ruin over which Solanthia was built. Its prominent feature was the orihalcon tower.

Ruundal - The southern elven nation of Heloth. Notoriously isolationist and prone to superstition.

 

S

Selene - A sizable island nation that has enjoyed many centuries of peace.

Seidheim - The plane of mana, which is the source of mystical energy.

Seiryuu - The Helothian name for the azure dragon spirit.

Senexti - The native race of the shadow plane.

Senisas - God of the wilderness.

Serpent's Maw - The volcanic crater in the Serpent Spine Range that houses 'Ald Fel.

Serpent Spine - A mountain range in northern Heloth that seperates Tespus from Kahl-Tarog.

Shadowsnipe - God of rogues, shadows, and tricks. Elven thief and savior of Heroshi ascended to godhood with Grok-Nall and Ashenaxe.

Solanthia - The capitol of the Solanthian Empire, built on the ruins of Ruhn Muir. Was recently destroyed.

Solanthus - An island off the western coast of Heloth. The center of the isle was demolished in the events at Solanthia. The islands are now East Solanthus and West Solanthus.

Solarion - The sphere of light at the center of Erhad, composed of the souls of the virtuous dead.

Sorric - God of serpents, lies, and conspiracy. Brother of Malhavoc

Stormrock Spire - A mountian where the dragon Amea and the titan Borras battled for godhood.

Strithena - The Helothian name for the golden owl spirit.

Suzaku - The Helothian name for the vermilion bird (phoenix) spirit.

 

T

Tack - Halfling god of invention.

Talonia - A fallen nation formerly in central Heloth that recently made war with Morbidia.

Tarog - The proper name for orcs.

Tenebral - Capitol of the nether elf lands in the underworld.

Tespus - A republic in west-central Heloth and the capitol thereof.

 

U

Umbranimus - The plane of shadow.

Underworld - The ubiquitous, chaotic nether realms that exist beneath Heroshi's surface.

Ungiant - A race of mankind similar to humans except for their large build.

Urdev Kuma - The Anheroshi name for the brown bear spirit.

Uztlan - A native Anheroshi people who were assimilated by explorers from Heloth. This culture became the Phoenix clan. Suzaku worshipers.

 

V

Val Fel - Also known as Stonefast. An ancient dwarven fortress in the heart of what became Talonia. Was the center of the explosion that destroyed Talonia.

Vennari - The leader of the people who made the exodus to the land of Anherosh. She became a goddess for the power to divide Heroshi so that her people were apart from the Helothians.

Veralyde - A fallen nation in central Heloth. Morbidia is built among its ruins.

Vilhan - God of dwarves and smiths, fire and earth.

 

W

Wall of Water - A wall of surging water that divided Heroshi vertically. Was the result of Vennari's Sundering. It disappared around the time of the Node Crisis.

Wall of Ice - Part of the Wall of Water in the southern region that froze. It is employed as a forticication by frost giants.

Wa - A province of Anherosh ruled by the Dragon clan.

Wildkind - Races that are humanoid in shape but have animalistic features.

 

X

Xeal - The once-great city of magic, destroyed by the followers of Sorric and Malhavoc. Currently in the early stages of restoration.

 

Y

Yu'Guay - A province of Anherosh ruled by the Tortoise clan. Mostly composed of islands and some of the mainland coast.

 

Z

Zoracthy - A race of fishlike humanoids.

Zhi Ming - The Anheroshi name for the black tortoise spirit.
