HistoryUnderstand that this timeline is very much a work in progress [WiP]
Age of the Gods (0-1000)
0 - The creation of Heroshi. The elemental planes are created as part of this process, but so is Edenova. Erhad is made for the gods to reside in.
70 - Advent of Death and the Birth of Evil. Due to the force of decay, the first Heroshim experience death. The fallout surrounding death: fear, sorrow, rage, and other negative emotions arise. The souls of the dead lingered on the face of Heroshi and this caused world to dim. The gods created Nuegalon, a realm in which to sequester the souls of the wicked. They also drew the good souls into Erhad for the purpose of illuminating the world. The two realms balanced each other, resulting in the day and night cycle.
77 - The gods reward the souls collected within Solarion by allowing them to become beings of pure good, celestials.
90 - The gods Vilhan and Aleria choose to give their followers resistance to death in the form of longevity. Gohdas declines, deciding that his followers should learn to measure their worth by what they can accomplish in their short lives. The next generation born to the Heroshim included humans, elves, dwarves, and gnomes.
99 - The raw evil collected in Nuegalon began to subsume into beings of pure evil. Demons and Devils were brought into being as a result.
655 - The terrible red dragon Amea and the lord of the titans Borras wage battle on Stormrock Spire in a contest to win godhood. Amea is victorious and becomes Ameadaeus. Amea's followers were transfigured into beastly forms (to reflect what was in their hearts) and came to be known as Daema. Ameadaeus claimed Nuegalon as his own and brought his foremost followers into that realm with him. Those Daema who remained in the material plane put up residence in the underworld.
667 - Many Daema tribes arise in the north and make a wave of blood which washes the civilized people of that region southward. A faction of dwarves stayed behind defending the outpost called Stonefast, since it was a critical point in their underground travel network. In the end the above ground portions of the keep were destroyed, but, true to its name, the dwarven stonework kept the underground areas safely sealed.
680 - The face of Heroshi had been decimated by the long battle between the celestials and fiends and sky was blanketed in darkness. The overdeity declared the war over returned the celestials to Erhad and the fiends into Nuegalon. At the overdeity's instruction, the gods then sealed Erhad from Heroshi with a crystaline sphere high in the sky and Nuegalon, beneath the earth, under a layer of metal that resisted blows and magic.
693 - By Vilhan's command, the dwarves of 'Ald Fel begin building the grand telescope to monitor the approach of the force of decay.
722 - Cura ascends to godhood. Gives mortals access to higher divine spells such as ressurection.
765 - Vennari ascends to godhood.
798 - Kaima ascends to godhood. Gives mortals access to higher arcane magic.
855 - The followers of Vennari make their exodus across the sea.
860 - Vennari isolates her people by the Sundering. This breaks the gods seal around the world and creates the Great Wall of Water.
960 - Empire of Solanthia is born.
994 - Oin Stoutbeard leads a rebellion in which he leads his people out of slavery in Solanthus to establish the nation of Oinshire.
980 - Nations of Veralyde, Neyrdor, and Ars Tesla firmly implanted in the south.
993 - The dwarves of 'Ald Fel discover an unusual metal far beneath the earth. They name it Orihalcon.
995 - The dwarves of 'Ald Fel delve too deeply through the source of orihalcum, and inadvertantly allow creatures from Nuegalon passage into the prime material plane. The site is evacuated and sealed, many dwarves left inside. The place is dubbed Vilhan's Folly.
998 - A faction of dwarves seceded from Muirstone, having grown disenchanted by having to leave family members behind to the horrors of Vilhan's Folly. The dwarves of Muirstone dubbed them the "forsaken ones", Duergar.
999 - The lost dwarves of Vilhan's Folly, corrupted by demonic forces, arose in Anherosh and made war with the clans.
Age of Divine Silence (1000-1999)
--large span of time-- Wars between the three southern nations, the fall of Veralyde, underworld uprising, exodus to homelands in the north, good dragons guard the Drake Highlands from monsters, trapping many in the south.
Age of Mankind (2000+)
2604 - A duergagon cleric uses a device called the chaos gate in an attempt to call forth Edenova. The mortal incarnations of Ashenaxe, Shadowsnipe, Grok-Nall, and Chao-Dai ascend to godhood in reward for stopping him. Britack of Behsrahd disappears into the wilderness leaving behind tales of his legacy. Kobort of Selene returns to his homeland and weds Lady Alrunia.
2613 - With the passing of the king, Kobort assumes the Throne of Serenity.
2740 - Birth of Walgnaf Talondar.
2754 - Walgnaf enters the emperial army of Solanthia. Passing of Kobort I.
2758 - Walgnaf attains the rank of General. He begins a campaign to take the Esterlands.
2762 - Agents of Sorric begin to create dissent between the followers of Ashenaxe and Kaima.
2765 - Walgnaf's armies have by this time taken control of all settlements in the Esterlands. Walgnaf murders the steward of Neyleth and asusmes control over the territory he had a hand in conquering. The Emperor of Solanthia is outraged, but his death later that year quells any notion of retribution. The new emperor, fearful of Walgnaf's powerful command, concentrates on the fortification of Solanthus Isle.
2766 - Kaima and Ashenaxe discover the conspiracy, but by then it is too late. Sorric's servants assembled the Nodes of Time, Space, and Matter in Xeal and used them to create a catastrophic magical disjunction that wiped out magic across the continent and even caused the Great Wall of Water to collapse. Only the most powerful magic remained. Afterwards, Malhavoc's cult entered the city from below and went about sacking the glorious city. The most powerful wizards took the most powerful artifacts and used various means to keep them from falling into the hands of the cultists and conspirators. Nevertheless, some powerful items were lost to the followers of the dastardly brothers.
2769 - The emperor of Solanthus issues an edict offering bounties on the lives of users of arcane magic and rewards for turning in the remaining magical paraphanalia for destruction. Mage hunters are deployed for this purpose.
2770 - The orc and wild elf tribes united under the banner of Grok-Nall expand settlements southward. Some of the elves of Miradell find this unusual, but acceptable. Others are outraged at this percieved encroachment into their lands. This faction leaves Miradell for the lands formerly inhabited by elves in the south. Expeditions begin by both continents travelling across the ocean to trade and diplomacise with one another. Though many traditionalists remain xenophobic, the Emperor is supportive of relations between the lands. Even diplomacy between the dwarves and easterners is coming about.
2772 - Many powerful wizards have been killed or imprisoned (within the orihalcum walls of the fortress Ruhn Muir in Solanthia). Sorcerers, kobolds, and dragons have not been seen in years. Even the infamous Drake Highland lairs have been abandoned, leaving hoards behind.
2773 - The elven nation of Ruundal is established in the south. They begin further expansion into the frontiers of Neyrdor and Ars Tesla. They meet resistance from the dark dwarves of Duermuir.
2795 - Present Day. Talonia invades Morbidia largely using mercenary troops from the Wolf and Viper clans of the east. Talonia is destoyed by a massive explosion caused by the orihalcon cannon in Solanthia. Mercenaries involved in the war begin to assimilate into western society. |

Solanthus is the nation. Solanthia is the capitol.
