A Korala-Hai is the result of a wild-elf and orc breeding. Korala is the elven word for "harmony" and Hai is the orcish word for "strength". Korala-Hai are thought of as having strength from both parents in harmony with one another. Their hardiness against enchantments is a boon for a barbarian (and their colleagues).

The following are traits of Korala-hai

• +2 Strength, -2 Intelligence. Korala-hai have the physical power and lack of education common to both sides of their parentage. Their elven parent passes on enough in the ways of diplomacy to smooth over the rough edges imparted by their orc parent.
• Medium: As Medium creatures, korala-hai have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
• Korala-hai base land speed is 30 feet.
• Immunity to sleep spells and similar magical effects, and a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against enchantment spells or effects.
• Darkvision: Korala-hai can see in the dark up to 60 feet due to their orcish ancestry. Darkvision is black and white only, but it is otherwise like normal sight, and korala-hai can function just fine with no light at all.
• +1 racial bonus on Listen, Search, and Spot checks.
• Elven Blood: For all effects related to race, a korala-hai is considered an elf.
• Orc Blood: For all effects related to race, a korala-hai is considered an orc.
• Automatic Languages: Common, Elven, and Orc. Bonus Languages: Draconic, Giant, Gnoll, Goblin, and Abyssal.
• Favored Class: Barbarian. A multiclass korala-hai’s barbarian class does not count when determining whether he takes an experience point penalty.
