The war with Veralyde was ended quickly once they broke through the contested area with aid from the dwarves of Duermuir. The emperor was eventually killed by forces from Axura, and the rest of his empire was crushed by monstrous forces from the north. The remaining lords took what was left of their nation to the Isle of Solanthus, where they quietly rebuilt their nation and bided their time in stretching out into the frontier.
