Gnomish Inventions - The following are considered to be of gnomish craftmanship: black powder, flint-lock firearms: pistol, arquebus, blunderbuss; clocks, hot air baloons, steam engine, steam locomotive, steam ship, airship, printing press, percolator, periscope, sextant, telescope, magnifying glass, spectacles, tinted glass, lenses, crystal crossbow sight, skis.

Black Powder - When a firearm is discharged, the two squares in front of the shooter are filled with a cloud of smoke (similar to a Fog Cloud spell) for two rounds.

Smokeless Powder - This advanced form of black powder does not produce a cloud of smoke when the device is fired.
