New Weapons
Firearms take a standard action to reload and will not fire if the powder becomes wet.
Hook Sword - The hook sword can be used to make trip attacks. If you are tripped during your own trip attempt, you can drop the hook sword to avoid being tripped. When using a hook sword, you get a +4 bonus on maneuver rolls made to disarm an opponent (including the roll to avoid being disarmed if such an attempt fails). You can use the Weapon Finesse feat to apply your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier to attack rolls with a hook sword sized for you, even though it isn’t a light weapon for you. One with the exotic weapon proficiency for the hook sword may link two hook swords to make it a reach weapon. The hook sword is a special monk weapon. This designation gives a monk wielding a hook sword special options.
Chain Whip - Consists of several metal rods, which are joined end-to-end by rings to form a flexible chain, with a handle at one end and a sharp point at the other. The chain whip is treated as a melee weapon with 10-foot reach, though you don’t threaten the area into which you can make an attack. In addition, unlike most other weapons with reach, you can use it against foes anywhere within your reach (including adjacent foes). You can make trip attacks with a whip. If you are tripped during your own trip attempt, you can drop the whip to avoid being tripped. When using a chain whip, you get a +2 bonus on combat maneuver checks to disarm an enemy. You can use the Weapon Finesse feat to apply your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier to attack rolls with a whip sized for you, even though it isn’t a light weapon. It can also be used to strike around cover due to its flexability.
Meteor Hammer - Two weights linked by a rope or chain. The meteor hammer is treated as a melee weapon with 15-foot reach, though you don’t threaten the area into which you can make an attack. In addition, unlike most other weapons with reach, you can use it against foes anywhere within your reach (including adjacent foes). You can make trip attacks with a whip. If you are tripped during your own trip attempt, you can drop the meteor hammer to avoid being tripped. When using a meteor hammer, you get a +2 bonus on combat maneuver checks to disarm an enemy. You can use the Weapon Finesse feat to apply your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier to attack rolls with a meteor sized for you, even though it isn’t a light weapon. It can also be used to strike around cover due to its flexability.
Rope Dart - A blunt metal dart on the end of a rope or chain. Functions as a smaller version of the meteor hammer.
Flying Talon - This weapon is a claw at the end of a chain or rope. The flying talon is treated as a melee weapon with 10-foot reach, though you don’t threaten the area into which you can make an attack. In addition, unlike most other weapons with reach, you can use it against foes anywhere within your reach (including adjacent foes). You can make trip attacks with a talon. If you are tripped during your own trip attempt, you can drop the talon to avoid being tripped. When using a flying talon, you get a +2 bonus on combat maneuver checks to disarm an enemy. You can use the Weapon Finesse feat to apply your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier to attack rolls with a talon sized for you, even though it isn’t a light weapon. It can also be used to strike around cover due to its flexability. It may also be employed as a grappling hook.
Swordbreaker - This bladed weapon is the size of a short sword, but has row of special notches on one side designed to catch an enemy's blade. When used in melee combat against the wielder an edged weapon of the same size or smaller than you, you may use it to make disarm or sunder attempts. Due to its special design, it is treated as one size category larger for purposes of sundering. [image]
