While all of the core races are supported, half races are exceptionally rare. This does not void them as a choice for PCs.

You may play a non-core race with DM's approval, but the following races are definitely out.

Unsupported Races: Aasimar, Tiefling, Genasi, Raptorians, Illumians, Goliaths, and Dragonborn.
