A number of elves left Miradell when the orc and wild elf union expanded south through their territory. Unwilling to tolerate this development, the faction traveled south to the lands settled by elves in the past. They built the forest city Ruunmir near Ruun Lake (a mistranslation of old elvish Lunmir "Glowing Lake"). They tend to have a great deal of trouble with raids by the duergar of Duermuir. They concentrate most of their energy expanding into the ancient lands of Ars Tesla and Neyrdor, wiping out the monsterous tribes and beasts that had settled there. The Tempest River stymied their southward expansion, as the Grand Bridge of Xeal had collapsed, and rumors abound that the south crawls with monstrous spiders.
