The empire of Solanthus once ruled over much of the land between the the Drake Highlands to the south and the dwarven kingdom of Oinshire and the elven kingdom of Miradell to the north. Later confined to Solanthus Isle due to the loss of instrumental leaders and the uprising that formed Talonia. Nevertheless, robber barons continued to oppress the countryside that later became the Freedales. The orihalcon tower was central in the defeat of Talonia, being transformed into a weapon by the Node of Matter. It also resulted in a major portion of Solanthus Isle sinking into the sea.
