Heroshi Origin

Page history last edited by Axcalibar 3 years ago

In the beginning, there was nothing, not even void, because a void would require something to contrast with. An empty quantity: Zer.

Four primal deities were charged by Minmaxar with the creation of a world in the event of origin known as "Eden".

The primal deities created space from nothingness, splitting it into matter and time:

Vilhan created the molten core and the layers of stone, earth, and clay surrounding it.

Aleria created the sea and rivers across the land and started the wind and rains.

Feal caused the blooming of plants in the earth and created living creatures in the form of animals.

Gohdas created the first vestiges of mankind, the Heroshim to spread across the realm.

The name of the world arose from the utterance of the first syllables from the gods mouths. Each was in sequence irrevocably etched into the cosmos.

Gohdas said: Heroes will journey the realm. They will tame the land and thrive within it.

Aleria said: Roads will open to them, and they will find ways to journey through the sea and air as well.

Feal said: Shelter will be found in the wood of the trees and the fruit thereof, and the flesh of animals will sustain them.

Vilhan said: I will commend the riches of the earth to their hands, that they may use its resources for their artifice.

The gods were satisfied with their creation, but creating matter from nothing, an equal and opposite force of utter destruction came into being as well. This force was destined to once again equalize the universe... by wiping out Heroshi. This world ending was called "Nova", and the process of it coming about was dubbed Edenova, "the time creation meets its end". However, eons of space separated this force from Heroshi, but its mere existence caused the matter on Heroshi to decay; it's creatures to age and die; its elements to decompose (e.g. Entropy/Time). Its existence affected the temperament of certain creatures, breeding despair, aggression, and fear.

The gods of Heroshi urged their creation to thrive despite the inescapable doom, to make the best of their short lives. Others, who arose later, encouraged their followers to do so as well, but without consideration toward and even at the expense of others.
