Habby Gnu-Ear! *hic* Well, I've unearthed a FAQ page I never linked to, so do feel free to add your Q's so I may A them. I also at long last added the half-elf, half-orcs to the Races page. I call them Korala-Hai. It's basically a half-elf with orcish/wild-elven strength and intelligence, darkvision, and the elven diplomacy smoothed out the orcish lack thereof (no bonus to Diplomacy or GI but no Charisma penalty. Oh, and favored class barbarian. Grok could've used that hardiness vs. enchantments, but aren't you supposed to want better for your kids? Any thoughts on their lifestyle'd be good to bring to the table (comments).

What I've read on 4e's setting is, well, interesting. However, it's like going on vacation and meeting someone who plays D&D who tells you about their campaign world. Some stuff is cool while other bits don't make a bit of sense to you, so you make that horrible expression where you frinkle your chin up and nod. The point is, whatever they do with their setting, well good for them. I'm not very keen on the setting because it doesn't concern me... I've "already got one, you see"!

When 3.0 came out, the core books were $20 per and were around 200 pages. When 3.5 arrived, they were $30 each, but we got around 310 pages average. EnWorld reported an exceprt from a WotC summer catalogue.
Player's Handbook - 320 pages, $34.95
Dungeon Master's Guide - 224 pages, $34.95
Monster Manual - 288 pages, $34.95
Like I needed another reason not to go for it. Look at the page numbers! Nearly 100 pages difference between the PHB and DMG, and yet they're the same price... the same bloody ridicolous price I haven't spent on a book in years. So why would I start?
Don't forget the new core books they plan to release on an annual basis (which I have reason to believe they too will be $35-40 each), the DNDI monthly subscription fee ($12-15) , the activation fees ($3-5), and a buck-a-(virtual)mini. Any lingering doubts that Wizard's eyes are scrying on our coinpurses?
