The Advanced Players Guide is far better than all the 3.5 class "splat books" combined. I like how it focuses on expanding core classes rather than contributing overmuch to a glut of prestige classes. It adds five new core classes, a ton more options for the prior eleven, and a copious number of new feats and spells. Only 8 prestige classes and a reasonable number of new magic items (those categories are the ones I'm glad Paizo held back on).

GM Edicts on the new rules:

    • New Combat Maneuvers (Drag, Reposition, Dirty Trick, and Steal) are IN
    • Hero Points and Traits are OUT
    • Alternate Racial Traits are IN (pending my approval)
    • New Core Classes are IN
    • Core Class Archetypes are IN
    • Prestige Classes are IN
    • New Spells are IN
    • New Feats are IN
    • New Equipment is IN
    • New Magic Items are IN (pending my approval)

My one complaint concerning book construction is that odd gap forming 14 pages in and 14 pages from the back... and this is handling carefully, not lying it out flat.

Just last night I was wondering if Paizo'd release a comprehensive spell book. What do I discover today? Coming April 2011, Ultimate Magic will introduce the Magus base class.

"Ultimate Magic also introduces the latest Pathfinder RPG base class: the magus. Combining arcane spells with practiced martial skill, the magus incorporates elements of the warrior and wizard to walk a path balanced between two deadly efficient extremes."

Zis ees...  how you say... cheese? It'll also have a words of powah (of the immahtals) alternate magic system, hopefully reminiscent of Zork. REZROV!

Looks like Paizo cleaned up at the ENnies! 10 Gold and 3 Silver.

3.5 to Pathfinder Changes

Incorporeal (Ex) An incorporeal creature has no physical body. It can be harmed only by other incorporeal creatures, magic weapons or creatures that strike as magic weapons, and spells, spell-like abilities, or supernatural abilities. It is immune to all nonmagical attack forms. Even when hit by spells or magic weapons, it takes only half damage from a corporeal source. Although it is not a magical attack, holy water can affect incorporeal undead. Corporeal spells and effects that do not cause damage only have a 50% chance of affecting an incorporeal creature. Force spells and effects, such as from a magic missile, affect an incorporeal creature normally. read more
