Some guy's take on Stonefast.

A pretty cool 3D redesign of Zanzer's Dungeon.

Oh, and hi! Not much happening here on the Pathfinder front, or gaming in general. I have made a rendition of Zanzer's Dungeon in Minecraft that might be worth sharing when it's done to my satisfaction. The fact is I haven't bought any PF product in the last year. I'm most inclined toward the "Bestiary Box" and "NPC Codex" cardboard miniature sets first, followed by the new Bestiary 4, and then Ultimate Campaign. Mystic Adventures... not happening.

I've been reading the dev blog for the PF MMO... and am starting to get very concerned with the direction they're taking it. One thing being the numbers inflation, which they say they are doing for reasons of "granularity". Fsssh. What it's accomplishing is putting the game on a unfamiliar scale, one uncomparable to the game it's based on.

"A starting player character has around 400 HP as a minimum, and a fully buffed veteran is unlikely to have more than 2000 HP. In general, HP will roughly triple during a career."

I don't think the scaling even works out. Of course, this is a level-less system... and skill based like Skyrim, but the numbers are more along the lines of WoW, which is precisely what I wish they'd avoid. Call me crazy, but I wish they'd stick to... oh I don't know... the frickin' game they're basing it on! What's wrong with that? It worked for ALL the D&D computer games, most notably NWN and DDO. Why mess with it?

Oh... OGL loopholes? That's why you have to inflate the numbers over 20 times? When, in the history of gaming, has there been a legal debacle based on the range of numbers used? Fine. I understand that they have to cover their butts because Wizards/Hasbro is probably chomping at the bit to finally take a legal swipe at their competitor (who has pretty handily owned them at this point).

Rant over. You can continue testing... and please test quickly, Turns out the granularity is referring to powdered moon rocks, which, of course we know, is pure poison. (ref.)
