Happy Gnu Ear! *hic*
So, I finished it.... yes, the Minecraft Zanzer's Dungeon map. It had to be altered slightly (for instance, Axel is completely gone) due to the limitations of the medium (and my own lack of experience as a map maker. As an added bonus, I inserted secret rooms that fill in a backstory for Zanzer (dealing with his serial monogamy, in accord with Dyldos' teachings.) I used some trickery with monster heads and potion effects to create the illusion of more variety of adversaries.
After uploading the trailer, I noticed that there were videos of a group's playthrough of ZTD using an online tabletop program, MapTool. I noticed that the video description mentioned that they met through Minecraft, so I sent one of the group a PM with a link to the map, figuring they'd enjoy it. So they played through it, and apparently ran into some difficulties. Well, drek... goes with the learning process I suppose. Nonetheless, they captured the session and rsmalec plans to review it and upload the video in some form. I don't know whether to be excited or crap my pants.

My commentary and comparison to the original map is here.
Tip for newbie map makers: Assume multiplayer from the beginning! Use @a to teleport the all players, or you risk multiple triggers of command blocks (a cluster-flip). I corrected my mistake and re-uploaded the map... guess we'll see if it was in time (edit: It wasn't... hilarity ensued) or if it was something I didn't think of that snafu'd. (edit: Not really... ZTD is just no match for six players.)
On to Stonefast!
